Effects of alcohol consumption on splenic NK cell proliferation. Mice were given alcohol for 2 weeks or 3 months. Each group contained 10 mice. NK cells proliferation was measured by in vivo BrdU incorporation as described in Material and Methods. BrdU+ cells were analyzed by flow cytometry. (A & B) Representative histograms of BrdU+ cells in the gated CD3-NK1.1+ cells in the spleen of mice given water or alcohol for 2 weeks.
