(A) AngII receptors analyzed by ribonuclease protection assay (lane 1, probes for AT2, AT1A, and AT1B; lane 2, rat aorta smooth muscle cells as a positive control for AT1B; lane 3, L6 cells; lane 4, positive control for AT1B; lane 5, positive control for AT2 [upper band] and AT1A [lower band]). The rat ribosomal L-32 gene was used as the housekeeping gene; probes containing polylinker regions are longer than the protected bands.
