Cell attachment to acellular EB matrices was assessed by seeding NIH-3T3 fibroblasts onto the materials. Fibroblasts were stained with Hoechst (blue; A and E), while the acellular matrix was visualized via auto-fluorescence (FITC channel; B and F). Additionally, seeded matrices were stained with H&E to demonstrate successful repopulation (D and H). Exogenous cells attached and repopulated both the L + D matrix (A–D) and the FT + D matrix (E–H).
