From A it is clear that Va^J/Va^J OHCs display negligible transducer currents. Transducer currents in the heterozygous cells are of a lower amplitude when compared to the wild-type control cells. B shows that +/+ and Va^J/+ cells have identical I–V relationships and do not display the inwardly rectifying leak current. The Va^J/Va^J cells display a strong rectifying leak current.
