All solutions also included (in mM): KCl (5). NaH₂PO₄ (0.58), MgCl₂ (1), CaCl₂ (3), d-glucose (12), and TTX (0.0025–0.005). Osmolarity was adjusted with sucrose to 345 mOsm when needed.
