PDCD5 is required for apoptosis induced by DNA damage. (A) PDCD5 expression was measured by Western blot in U2OS cells treated with Act.D (100 nM) and UV irradiation (20 J/m²), as indicated. (B) U2OS cells were transfected with siPDCD5 or control siRNA for 24 hours and then further incubated with different concentration of Act.D and Doxo for 24 hours or UV-irradiated for the indicated time. Then, cells were stained with FITC-Annexin V, and the percentage of cell apoptosis is shown. The data shown are from a representative experiment. (C) Cell treatment was similar to (B).
