Substrate targeting of Mus81·Mms4 by Rad54. The DNA substrate pairs (the HJ and the DNA fork (Fk) in A; the nicked Holliday junction (nHJ) and 3′ DNA flap (Fl) in C and D), 3 nm each, were incubated with Mus81·Mms4 (M/M; 0.25 nm) and Rad54 (R54; 2 nm) in the indicated orders at 37 °C for 20 min and then analyzed.
