Effects of exogenous hyaluronan on phosphorylation of ERK1/2. WT fibroblasts at confluence were treated with different molecular sizes of HA at the concentrations indicated for 16 h, and the cell lysates were applied to immunoblot analysis for phospho-ERK1/2 and total ERK1/2. The band density quantified by densitometry is indicated as fold changes of phophoERK1/2. The values are the means ± S.E. (n = 2). The experiments were performed twice, and essentially the same results were obtained.
