Two schools that were missing the 2004–2005 production data were excluded from the analyses, and 6 schools that were not selling the snack bar items under investigation were excluded from the à la carte analyses.
One district (5 schools) provided the monthly summary data.
A large district was defined as more than 10 000 students; small was 10 000 or fewer.
SES was defined as low (free or reduced meals > 50% of the student population) or high (free or reduced meals ≤ 50% of the student population).
