Hydrolysis of mannans by CjMan26C. CjMan26C (10 nm) and CjMan26A (79 nm) were incubated with 0.2% β-mannan (Man) and galactomannan (Gal-Man) in 50 mm sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.0, containing 1 mg/ml bovine serum albumin. At regular time intervals, aliquots were removed and analyzed by HPLC. The peaks corresponding to mannobiose (M₂) and 6²-Gal-mannobiose (GM₂) are indicated by arrows.
