All numbers reflect measurements after removal of outliers from upper and lowr 10% of samples. Mel, D. melanogaster, Sims, D. simulans, and Pse, D. pseudoobscura. Intervals are hours since egg deposition was measured at 25°C. Stage 1, no expression; stage 2, partial expression; stage 3, full expression; stage 4, morphogenesis.
