* Parents were asked to answer nine items on a scale from 1 to 4 points with 1 representing the best possible outcome and 4 the worst; one item asked about pain and was in a yes-or-no format; it was scaled so answering “no pain” was recorded as 1 point and answering that the patient experienced pain was recorded as 2 points; we translated the original DSI into the native language of each family.
