Expression of FOXC2-VP16 or FOXC2 impairs induction of C/EBPβ
during adipocyte differentiation or in response to cAMP. A and
B, FOXC2-VP16 and FOXC2-infected 3T3-L1 cells, respectively, were
induced to differentiate in presence of MDI. At the indicated times, cells
were lysed, and C/EBPβ (LAP1, LAP2, and LIP) expression was determined by
immunoblot analysis. C, at confluence, control or FOXC2-VP16 cells
were treated for four h with 10% calf serum (CS), MDI,
isobutylmethylxanthine (IBMX), or increasing concentrations of
8-bromo-cAMP in Me2SO as indicated. The cells were lysed, and
expression of C/EBPβ proteins was evaluated. The experiments are
representative of three independent experiments.
