Colonization (CFU/g) of superficial cervical lymph nodes at 4, 8, or 12 weeks after vaccination of bison with 4.6 × 10¹⁰ of RB51 or 7.4 × 10¹⁰ CFU of RB51+sodC,wboA (n = 4 animals/treatment/time). After surgical removal, lymph nodes were weighed, triturated using a tissue grinder, serially diluted in saline, and plated on tryptose agar plates containing 5% bovine serum. Colonization was determined by standard plate counts. Responses are presented as mean titers ± the standard errors of the mean.
