Relative levels of expression of sigH paralogs during heat shock (HS), oxidative stress (OS), cold shock (CS), and nutrient starvation (NS). Note the severalfold increases in sigH4 and sigH7 levels during heat shock and in the sigH5 level during oxidative stress. The sigH1 level remains unchanged, and other genes are variably induced.
