Per patient (FAS), a total of nine scintigrams were performed at three different weeks (weeks 1, 3 and 15) and three different time points post injection (6, 24 and 48 h p.i.). Lesion-to-normal bone ratios were calculated on every scintigram. Comparison between different weeks were made for every time point post-injection as follows: [lesion-to-normal bone ratio] week 3, 6 h p.i. divided by [lesion-to-normal bone ratio] week 1, 6 h p.i., times 100%. Zoledronic acid does not change the uptake of ¹⁵³Sm-EDTMP in lesions compared to normal bone (all ratios are close to 100%)
