This shows part of an experiment to show the effect of Ba²⁺ on clamp current, pH_i and V_Ca responses to brief depolarizations to −10 mV for 5 s. The responses to 3 depolarizations in normal Ringer were followed by the responses to 3 depolarizations in Ba²⁺ Ringer. The preparation was briefly superfused with Ca²⁺-free Ringer with 1 mm EGTA before the Ca²⁺-free (Ba²⁺) Ringer.
