A: binary hearts showed a decreased cardiac myocyte length and a reduced heart weight-to-body weight ratio (H/B). H/B was obtained from mice of each of the 4 genotypes at 12W. The number of myocytes studied is indicated within each column, and myocytes were isolated from 12W mice (30 WT mice, 37 P2X4 Tg, 48 CSQ Tg, and 47 binary Tg mice). Data were means and SE. Binary hearts showed lower H/B than did CSQ hearts.
