Potential of mean force obtained in this work for NaCl using group-based straight cutoff method. Two values of the cutoff distance were considered, Rc=0.8 nm and 1.5 nm. The distinctive feature of the obtained PMFs is a strong and unphysical maximum at r=Rc. The strength of the maximum is attenuated at larger cutoff radii.
