The prevalence was calculated under a disease model representing Alzheimer's disease. In the parentheses, we list the minimum and the maximum prevalence when each SNP in turn was considered the causal locus. In real data (population of Kuopio, eastern Finland, 980 people aged 69–78), the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease was 4.7% [Kuusisto et al., 1994].
