DLC1 was targeted to the focal adhesions and required residues Y442 and S440. At the focal adhesion, besides the SH2 binding mechanism, DLC1 utilized region 375–385 to interact with the PTB domain of tensin2, as indicated by the dotted line. The formation of this binding complex was important for DLC1 to exert growth-suppressive function.
