The presence of EBNA3C results in a change in localization of Necdin and Nm23-H1 to the nucleus and membranes. Nm23-H1 and EBNA3C rescues Necdin-mediated downregulation of the downstream promoter. Interaction of Necdin with Nm23-H1 modulates NDP kinase activity as well as protein kinase activity.
