Cannabidiol dose-dependently attenuates the cisplatin-induced renal
dysfunction. CP induced profound renal dysfunction 72 h after the
administration to mice evidenced by increased serum levels of BUN and
creatinine, which were dose-dependently attenuated by CBD treatment. CBD (10
mg/kg/day i.p.), even given 12 h after the CP exposure, was able to attenuate
the renal dysfunction. Results are mean ± S.E.M. of six experiments in
each group. *, P < 0.05 versus vehicle; †,
P < 0.05 versus cisplatin.
