Effect of the macronutrient composition of the high-carbohydrate (H-CHO) and the high-fat (H-F) diets on glucose kinetic parameters during the fasting and fed states. The rate of glucose production (GPR) is the sum of gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis. The total glucose rate of appearance is the sum of GPR and exogenous glucose.
