Synthesis of DOX conjugates of cIBR7 and PEGcIBR7 peptides to produce DOX-cIBR7 and DOX-PEGcIBR7 conjugates. Primary amine of the daunosamine of DOX was derivatized using succinic anhydride to generate DOX-succinate. The N-terminal of the peptides was conjugated to the carboxylic acid group of DOX-succinate via an amide bond.
