Quantitative RT-PCR analysis of Nkx2-5, Gata4, and β-catenin in the hearts of 11.5 dpc wild type (WT) and Nkx2-5+/- (HET) embryos revealed augmentation of both Gata4 and β-catenin and reduction in Nkx2-5 RNA levels. The values (mean±SEM) for each gene were normalized against GAPDH. N = 9 for WT and N = 11 for HET hearts.
