Inhibition of HDAC enzymatic activity correlates with reelin and GAD67 mRNA induction. Total HDAC enzymatic activity of untreated nuclear extracts (Control) and extracts treated with either MS-275 (0.25, 1, 5, and 20 μM), MS-IN (5 μM), TSA (0.3 μM), or VPA (5 mM). The fluorescence intensity was determined for each sample in triplicate. Data are expressed as a percentage of the HDAC activity detected in a control (untreated) sample.
