Amount of sleep fragmentation was quantified in wild-type (wt, n =13) and db/db (n =13) mice across the 24-h recording period and for individual 12-h-light and 12-h-dark periods. Groups were compared for stage shifts, brief arousals from sleep, the number (No.) of sleep and wake bouts and the average duration (Dur., minutes) of individual sleep and wake bouts.
