Scanning electron micrographs of isolated planktonic forms of human- (left) and bovine (right)-derived nanoparticles (NPs). Human-derived NPs were propagated from a human calcified aneurysm (Ref. 29). Bovine-derived NPs were pooled from several sources of fetal bovine serum and prepared by Nanobac Pharmaceuticals.
