Composition of hydrocarbon chains of PL-4. Allyl ether-bonded hydrocarbons were prepared with LiAlH₄ by Method B as described in Materials and methods. Non-allyl ether-bonded hydrocarbons were prepared by HI cleavage. Hydrocarbons were quantitatively analyzed by GLC with n-tetracosane (C₂₄) as an internal standard.
