Case 1 – The anterior surface of the Simaplast implants removed after 23 years in situ. A thick layer of calcification covers most of the anterior surface of the implants. The calcification is heavier on the left side, where there was a Baker class IV contracture. This could have caused a greater abrasion to the surface, resulting in more extensive calcification than that on the right side
