Seedlings were placed on agar medium (1.5% agar, 1X hoaglands solution, 8 mM Ca₂Cl) sandwiched between glass plates and grown under constant light (daylight balanced fluorescent bulbs, 22 µmol m⁻² s⁻¹) for 8 days (A–D).
