pdr10∆ cells internalize NBD-PE in a Lem3-dependent manner. Strains W303-1A (wild type), NRY243 (pdr10∆), NRY549 (lem3∆), NRY551 (pdr10∆ lem3∆), NRY427 (dnf1∆ dnf2∆), and NRY558 (pdr10∆ dnf1∆ dnf2∆) were grown to log phase, treated with latrunculin A to block endocytosis, and incubated with the fluorescent reporter lipid NBD-PE or NBD-Cer as described under Materials and Methods.
