Table 2.

Vote on the third reading of the Takeover Directives on 4 July 2001. (The political groups and member states are sorted from the most to the least in favour of the directive in terms of who they voted on the bill. Because the vote was a tie, the directive was rejected. Using the Rice index to calculate voting cohesion in the European Parliament, the average cohesion score of the political groups in the vote was 0.56 (not counting the non-attached MEPs), while the average cohesion score of the member states was 0.63.)
