Anti-GBM serum administration increases the expression of renal TGF-β and TGFBI mRNA in WT but not iNKT-deficient mice, despite induction of systemic TGF-β. C57BL/6J WT and Jα18^−/− mice were injected with anti-GBM serum, and control mice were injected with PBS. After 14 d, kidneys were collected, and Q-PCR was carried out to assess the expression of TGF-β (A) and TGFBI (B) mRNA. Both plasma (C) and kidney (D) TGF-β levels were measured at day 14 after anti-GBM serum injection. Results are expressed as mean ± SEM (n = 5). *P < 0.05 versus control; #P < 0.05 versus WT.
