Mandated controls were added to the batch size prior to the calculation of unused reaction tubes. The matrix assumes the presence of one 16-thermocycler block in a laboratory. The mean percentages of unused aliquots per random distribution batch size were 24.4, 29.6, and 33.5%, respectively, for 8, 9, and 10 aliquots per master mix vial.
