Expression of Kv2 and silent Kv subunits in dorsal root ganglia (DRG). RT-PCR analysis was performed on freshly isolated mouse DRG. RNA was reverse transcribed with random primers, and the amplification was performed with gene-specific primers for the different Kv subunits. The silent Kv subunits that were not detected after 36 cycles of amplification (A) were subjected to an amplification reaction of 44 cycles (B).
