Serum phenylalanine levels of Pah^enu2 mice following recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV)8 vector administration. Five Pah^enu2/Pah^enu2 mice received 5 × 10¹¹ vector genomes of phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH)-expressing rAAV8 through portal vein injection, and serum phenylalanine levels were measured weekly thereafter. A single Pah^enu2/Pah^enu2 mouse received a saline injection as a control. The data are expressed as mean serum phenylala-nine (μM) ± 1 SD vs time in days post-vector injection.
