Testing central coherence. The patient is given the task to assign one of the two images at the top to the image at the bottom. People with a holistic perception will assign the beaker to the bottle at the bottom. Detail-oriented perception in poorly developed central coherence will lead to the decision that the top right object matches the bottom object as they both consist of squares.
