Definition of abbreviations: chr = chromosome; LD = linkage disequilibrium; pmin = lowest family-based association test P value of all SNPs tested in a gene; rs of pmin = rs number of the pmin SNP; SNP = single-nucleotide polymorphism; UCSC = University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) Genome Browser.

SNPs in the Illumina 550K array that were within the 39 genes and their neighboring LD-flanking region were tested for association with asthma in an additive model. All P values here are two-sided. The SNPs that were tested for association with previous asthma SNPs are not re-represented here. Underlining denotes asthma genes identified via positional cloning approaches.

SNP associations with asthma in CAMP have been previously published for these genes (28).
