Light was defined as 1 to 13 drinks per week for men and 1 to 6 drinks per week for women. Heavy was defined as 14 to 27 drinks per week for men and 7 to 20 drinks per week for women. Regular was defined as drinking 3 or more days per week. Episodic was defined as drinking fewer than 3 days per week.
