(A) Growth inhibition of intracranial tumors by the combination of Å6 and CDDP. U87MG cells (1 × 105) were injected intracerebrally and the animals were treated from postimplantation days 1 through 21 as described in Materials and Methods. On day 21, animals were euthanized and their brains were harvested, fixed, and sectioned. After hematoxylin/eosin staining, tumor volumes were determined by using the diameters that were measured at the maximal brain tumor dimensions in the coronal sections.
