E3 antagonizes PKR-dependent NF-κB nuclear translocation. HeLa cells (1.5 × 10⁵) were seeded in six-well plates. Cells were then transfected with 100 nM PKR siRNA for 48 h. Cells were then mock infected or infected with vvΔE3L-Rev or vvΔE3L at an MOI of 5, and nuclear extracts were prepared at 8 hpi for Western blotting.
