Sixteen-week-old mice fed a high-fat/high-sucrose diet were orally fed RA or GW0742 (0.16 mg/day) daily for 3 weeks. Blood was collected after an overnight fast. Plasma was isolated by using Microtainer plasma separator tubes (Becton Dickinson). Insulin was measured by using an ultrasensitive mouse insulin enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (Mercodia). Other parameters were measured by Veterinary Diagnostic Services (Marshfield Laboratories).
