Pre-miRNA is cofractionated with the spliceosome in an ATP-dependent manner. In vitro splicing with EML2-330 WT pre-mRNA was carried out with or without exogenous ATP. The reaction mixture was separated by glycerol gradient centrifugation. The RNAs in each fraction were recovered and analyzed by 6% denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
