Cytosolic speckled distribution of retinoic acid receptor alpha (RARα) proteins in activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). Primary HSCs collected from rat liver were spontaneously activated by culturing on poly-l-lysine–coated glass-bottom dishes.
