TAT-STEP increases SE-induced cell death and decreases immediate-early gene expression in the cortex. In A–C, His-tagged TAT-STEP was microinjected into the motor cortex via an indwelling guide cannula. SE was induced 2 h later, and mice were killed 6 h after SE onset. A, TAT-STEP was visualized with an anti-His antibody, followed by Alexa 488-conjugated secondary antibody (color-coded red for clarity).
