One of the 234 most-parsimonious trees inferred from the consensus data excluding pseudorecombinants (matrix CM_+ps), rooted with P. kerrii. The pseudogenes (white dots) obtained from P. mexicana s.l. and P. occidentalis species aggregate (I, together with the single pseudogene obtained from P. racemosa var. wrightii, II) fall in a clade comprising P. racemosa species aggregate and P. orientalis (III) but not with their non-pseudogenous counterparts (IV).
