Experiment 1—primary hyperalgesia (pain threshold). Primary hyperalgesia was assessed at 1, 4, 24, and 72 h after buprenorphine (Bup) administration. Only rats that received 0.05 mg/kg SC experienced isoalgesia during the immediate postoperative period (1 and 4 h).
