Distribution of the GOS 28 and Syntaxin 5 between lateral 70- to 90-nm diameter vesicles and Golgi cisternae. The percent of gold particles present over 70- to 90-nm diameter vesicles and buds on the lateral sides of cross sections of stacks in Golgi areas was calculated as the number over such lateral buds and vesicles divided by the total of this number plus the number of gold particles over cisternae. Vesicles and buds on the cis side of the stack were excluded from this tabulation because they will include vesicular tubular clusters en route from ER to Golgi along with vesicles budding from Golgi cisternae.
